... In the Song of God, Lord Krishna points out that the acts of
propitiation of such divinities (known as Yagna) must be done to ensure
common welfare as well as individual wellbeing (Chapter 3:9, 10,11). In fact he
further points out that not doing so is to deny the divinities their due and a
sin (somewhat similar to tax evasion) (Chapter 3:12, 13).
