Principle of The Feminine
Little children from the primary school are seated towards the edge of the Mandir at Prasanthi Nilayam. Bhagawan approaches one of them. The little one puts forward a tray of offerings praying for His blessings. Bhagawan very lovingly asks the boy, "Birthday?" The child nods his head. Then Bhagawan asks, "How old are you?" The little lips part and from between recently lost teeth, the little one replies, "Seven." Then comes the bumper question of this birthday quiz, "How do you know?" It was too much for the little one; he only gazes at the ocean in Bhagawan’s eyes and keeps mum. The Compassionate One offers a clue to the child; "Did your mother tell you?" The little head nods again this time in definite agreement. Bhagawan goes on to explain, "Only your mother has the right to tell you your exact age as she was definitely there when you were born. She stands for Truth."

...  The feminine resides embedded in every created entity. In its original form, it stands for the virtues of self-sacrifice, tolerance, emotions, quality and proportions. It stands for life and its perfect celebration – joyous yet meditative, fragile yet strong in its essence. It stands as the metaphor for life.
