Abusive treatment of fellow humans can also cause nature to rebound in a catastrophic way. Man’s inhumanity to man express itself in natural catastrophes, like earthquakes. Remember the wheel of cause and consequence, of deed and destiny, and the Wheel of Dharma (Righteousness) that rights them all.

As we endeavour to clean up this planet and restore order to society, there is one very important consideration that we must be aware of, in order for our efforts to succeed, and that is our thoughts. We may, or may not realise it, but thought is pure energy, and that energy does not dissipate; it collects in the atmosphere. Therefore negative thoughts like anger, greed, hatred, jealousy, divisiveness, selfishness and so on, can and do, affect the daily affairs that are conducted, as is evident in world affairs. ...

It is time we awaken to Baba’s call and set right the immediate environment both externally and internally. Small gardens, well-kept roads, flowering tree-lined avenues are all well within the reach of the average individual. Then, may be the little sparrow, which seems to have disappeared from the windowsills of Bangalore, will make a comeback.
