Topic : WEALTH

Bhagawan has spoken so much about 'wealth' . Under the circumstances, we address ourselves to the following questions:

1.      Is wealth really an evil?

2.      Can we do without wealth?

3.      What sort of moderation would be desirable when it comes to wealth?

To Ponder

“Wealth without wisdom becomes an instrument of tyranny; wisdom without wealth becomes mere fantasy and a bundle of blueprints. Use makes them worthwhile; misuse makes them disastrous.” (Bhagawan on 24 December 1972)

As a starter we have a mail we received from sainspired@hotmail.com from Bangalore in this regard. Sainspired, if that is what the name is supposed to be, wrote:

Wealth can never give happiness. It is like the oil in a machine, without which the machine cannot run. All the same one never have enough money, be he a rich man or a poor man. The key to happiness lies in the way wealth is earned – righteous or unrighteous. So wealth by itself cannot be evil. The problem however remains how to practice moderation about wealth. There are umpteen ways to earn wealth today and umpteen avenues to spend. One really gets confused.
